Lil-Pappi is back at it in the Sandlot league!

I promised a Tiger game to Gabe at the beginning of the season and I wouldn't be a man of my word if I didn't come through. So - I was able to score front row seats from my former employer! (paid for them of course... :) Gabe was so excited when I told him that Uncle Beaner and Papa were coming too. What a great time even though the boys lost (again!). The Tigers are 0-4 when I have attended this year. No more games for me.

The next day we were up and at em early to play in the Sandlot league that just stared on the 21st. Gabe was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI and 3 Runs Scored. He also made a great play to tag a runner out. I think I get a bigger kick out of it.

The next day he and I spent about 2 hours in the backyard. I hit non-stop pop-ups and grounders to him. We were both just enjoying the father/son moment when I told Gabe that I was sorry for being so hard on him earlier in the day. He said back to me "Dad, I know you are just trying to help me, it's okay, I'm just an ordinary boy who loves his dad - and nothings going to change that".....

Some things are very personal to write and that was probably one of them. I just can't believe how absolutely blessed I am to have such amazing kids. Now that quote will be remembered and i will forget (conveniently) about the "you don't care about me....." quotes... (of course)

Although I was out of town - the show must go on. Kara & Co. had a tea party on her 4th birthday and it looks like a blast. Even Gabe and Papa enjoyed the festivities. Our baby is not a baby anymore (as tragic as it is). She is so much fun and has a contagious laugh. tonight (3 weeks later) I made the mistake of burping out loud. Kara says out loud "Now that was a Man size burp dad. (as she giggles). Ahhhh - I wonder where she learned that from??

Today is my beautiful/precious/amazing/etc. Kara DD's birthday. My big 4 year old is growing so big before our eyes. We made it an early celebration because I'm going out of town for a couple of days on business. She requested scrambled eggs and toast (even though she only took one bite). Noelle took off work and is taking the gang to mimi's for a tea party (also requested by the big 4 year old)

Noelle went to www.topliffstara.com (in Williamston, Michigan)last weekend. Based on the pictures it looks like the ladies had a great time. I think their feet came back happy too! They want to do it again very soon (imagine that!)

What a fun Sunday! We started out with some chocolate chip pancakes and a trip to church. Then it was off to the party at Kimmy & Kevin's house. Wow - what a blast from the past!! Unlimited Coney's and Loose Burgers. It was great to see some of my old friends and meet some of the neighbors. Gabe had a great time playing with Garrett and Kara was busy blowing bubbles and sneaking snacks.

Later we ventured over to Matt & Jenny's to see Alex who is almost 16 months old. The kids had a blast hanging out with their little buddy and as always loved the abundance of CANDY!
